The project was complex, time-pressed and high stakes. We had participants from across Australia involved and they had to pass a challenging test directly after training. That puts learning design and information management to high levels of scrutiny – and we came through with flying colours. Our collaboration over the instruction design elements and Inge’s terrific ‘build’ of the training materials pack really paid off. All participants achieved clinical reliability in the use of the tool within 2–3 weeks of the training. That achievement demonstrates the value of well-sequenced and designed training.
